The American company Delta Airlines has begun a new summer flight season, with its direct route between the airports Malaga-Costa del Sol and John F. Kennedy of New York, which will operate flights four times a week until August 1, when they will be extended to five flights a week.
The airline currently serves more than 160 million customers each year, with a global network of nearly 317 destinations in 58 countries on six continents. The company, which operates a mainline fleet of more than 700 aircrafts, offers its customers more than 15,000 daily flights.
Its premiere at Malaga airport-Costa del Sol dates back to June 2008, when Delta Airlines operated throughout the year and with up to six flights a week. In the summer months this route has an average occupancy of 85% and is very popular among leisure travellers.
