The only way to get from Malaga airport to Manilva is by road. Read on to find out more about the different options for getting from Malaga to Manilva.
Manilva, with a population of just under 15,000 inhabitants, can reach 50,000 during the summer season. It is an attractive destination on the Costa del Sol where many people choose to spend their holidays.
The road route to Manilva from Malaga airport is the same as if you wanted to go to Estepona or Marbella. You must head towards Algeciras and pass by the above mentioned towns.
You can choose the AP-7 toll road or continue on the A-7, the toll road is much faster and with less traffic although the A-7 has beautiful views of the coast.
The estimated time to Manilva from the airport is approximately 1 hour, as long as we go by toll road.
You will have to pass through San Pedro de Alcántara and Estepona, a few kilometres away you will find this exit to Manilva and Casares.
Toll roads are always signposted so you have time to choose the option of your choice.
There is no direct bus to Manilva, so you must go to the centre of Malaga and take the bus that goes to Algeciras with a stop in Sabinillas.
The Malaga bus station is located at Paseo de los Tilos (Map).
Keep in mind that buses to Algeciras outside these hours do not stop in Sabinillas. In Sabinillas you will have to use a taxi to get to Manilva or walk, it is 2.7 kilometres away.

Unfortunately, the nearest train reaches as far as Fuengirola. This route is not possible at the moment.
You can use the train to get to Malaga and take a bus to Sabinillas, but keep in mind that you must take a taxi from Sabinillas to Manilva.

Manilva is not a very convenient destination for public transport, we recommend you to rent a car in Malaga and enjoy the beautiful road trip.
