Volotea start selling their first flights of the 2013 summer season

Volotea, the low cost airline, as from this Monday have started selling the first series of flights of their 2013 summer season with seven routes available that will be departing from where the company has its base, at Nantes airport, and include connections to Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Valencia.

In working order since the past 1st of June, Nantes is Volotea’s second operative base, after the one in Venice. Volotea have three airplanes based in the French city that fly to 20 destinations, shared out equally between domestic and international operations.

“With the release of these seven routes for the summer of 2013, our clients will be able to plan their trips with plenty of time ahead, something specially important for travel agencies and tour operators”, stated the national sales manager at Volotea, Beatriz Fernandez.

Last Friday the 13th of July, and after only three months of operations, Volotea transported their passenger number 100.000: Nora Villate Irigoien, a Business Studies student from Bilbao studying at the Deusto University , who flew from Bilbao to Venice.

In the whole of Europe, Volotea offer 87 routes to 56 airports in 9 countries. In Spain, Volotea offer 37 routes from 16 Spanish destinations: Alicante, Bilbao, Granada, Ibiza, Malaga, Menorca, Oviedo, Palma, Santander, Santiago de Compostela, Seville, Southern Tenerife, Valencia, Valladolid, Vigo and Zaragoza.
