65% of the German passengers arrive aboard low-cost airlines

The taxes of German passengers that arrived in Spain aboard low-cost airlines increased in 2011 by 5.3%

Two out of three German passengers that arrived in Spain in 2011, came aboard a low-cost airline, which means around 65% of the total, a figure vastly surpassed in priority destinations for the German market like the Costa del sol for example, where the figure increases up to 82%.

However, and according to a brief elaborated by the Planning and Development Society of Malaga’s provincial deputation, Air Berlin is the airline that’s most used by the German passengers to fly to Malaga airport, followed very closely by Ryanair -with a 38.9 and a 34.8 per cent of quota, respectively-. These are followed in the ranking by Lufthansa, Easyjet, Vueling and Germanwings.
